IDEAL FOUNDATION COLOR
If you have greenish veins on your wrist, you have a warm skin type so go for yellow undertone foundation. If veins are bluish, you have a cooler type ideal for pink undertones. Combination of both green and blue veins indicate that you have neutral undertone. Lighter skin tones and lighter eyes - go for a cooler tone, a rosy undertone. Light skin tone and brownish eyes - a warm tone, yellowish undertone. Darker tone with dark eyes - warmer tones, yellowish undertone.
Olive tone- yellowish-green type of undertone foundation.
LESS THAN MORE FOUNDATION
Instead of the whole face, apply a little liquid foundation or concealer to the undereye area or around the nose where the skin is red. Thick layer of matt foundation flatters no one. If you suffer from problematic skin, use a hydrating (non-greasy) foundation. Cover the acne with concealer in the same color as foundation and blend with a sponge or soft eyeshadow brush.
Versatile BB or CC creams will equalize color tone and moisturize the skin without the prior application of moisturizing creams and protective factors. Blend away everything from liquid foundations, concealers, contouring products or blushes with Beauty Blender. Instead of a technically demanding step like eyeliner, use a black or dark brown eyeliner pen. It will take less time to do.
BE CAREFUL WITH EYEBROWS
In teenage years, we tend to overpluck the eyebrows. If they are left with sparse eyebrows, use a eyebrow pencil or eyebrow shade in their natural shade. I am not a supporter of Japanese eyebrow technique because the eyebrows most often look like they are drawn with a sharpie.
ONLINE LOOKS DO NOT WORK WELL IN REAL LIFE
Contouring and strobing techniques from Instagram and YouTube do not work in real life. By copying bad copies of the Kardashians, you are just applying an unnecessary amount of products. The result is unnatural appearance and attracting negative attention. Vloggers put too many products to attract potential advertisers and likes.
MAKE-UP FOR MATURE TYPE SKIN
'Less is more'. As the estrogen levels drop, the skin becomes dry, so use light, moisturizing liquid foundations or creams. Defined eyebrows give fullness to the face. Fill them with a pencil or eyebrow shadow. Creamy blushes in pink or peach shades fill the face with freshness and reduce the visibility of the undereye bags. Highlight the natural pigment and volume of the lips with moisturizing lipstick and add freshness to the lips with a touch of gloss in the middle. Eyeshadows will last on any type of eye with a little help from a shadow primer.
