What do you most like about your job?
I like the fact that I love my job too much. Furthermore, I like when I create wonderful, breathtaking works (photographs, editorials, campaigns) with my creative soulmates. I love when I make happy other people, my clients, readers. My job fulfills me and is there anything more beautiful in life than this?
Your favorite make-up artists?
Kevin Aucoin – it all began with him. I mean, my make-up work. He taught and instructed me in a way. I know all of his books by heart. He changed the way ofmake-up for me and all the fashion and celebrity world in the eighties and nineties with a positive slogan that help women to feel beautiful, very important for their self-confidence. If he is no longer physically with us, he will always be there.
Pat McGrath – She has changed the make-up which until her was perceived as exclusively an act of beauty. Because of her creative works and cooperation with the world's best fashion designers, photographers and magazines, make-up is recognized, understood and accepted as an art. Her ingenious make-up creations surpassed anything ever seen on the world's catwalks. It is her story even more interesting by the fact that it comes from the British working families and all managed exclusively work, effort and, of course, talent. It is my honor and I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with her at Paris Fashion Week for Lanvin, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and Galliano.
Peter Philips – I love that saturated minimalism in his work, although mostly working drawings on the face or masks of various unusual materials and objects on their faces. You can always see minimalism and graphic quality in his works. After he drew Mickey Mouse on his face models on the set with Raf Simons, he rules the world’s most prestigious fashion empires. For years he created a make-up collections for CHANEL - the most glamorus fashion house in the world. He currently enjoys also as creative makeup director at Dior. When I was told from the agency that I would assist him at Dries van Noten show in Paris, my happiness knew no bounds and we did it fantastic.
Your favorite beauty trend?
Definitely high gloss skin! I love when lip gloss is placed on the eyelids, cheeks and lips that reflect the skin and give the appearance of freshness eg. the shows Donna Karan, Marni and MM6.
How do you relax?
Yoga. And running. The glass of red wine sometimes.
