Cosmopolitan: You have been in the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards jury for seven years? What are your previous experiences like?
Simona: Wow - it's been seven! I was not aware that it has been so many years since we started this beautiful story. It's too good to be part of Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards and choose the best of the best beauty products, which is one of the greatest joys.
Is there a beauty product that has been nominated and you loved ever since, which you still use today?
Mascara CHANEL DE VOLUME DE CHANEL.
What did you learn from this experience as a member of the Jury of Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards?
I tried out so many of the high-quality products I regularly use and recommend to clients.
Tell us what is the first beauty product you used as a child?
It was the Max Factor Pan Stick, from which I have not separated for years. I used it daily as a foundation and concealer - two in one.
What was your first ever perfume?
My first perfume was CK One.
When did you know you wanted to become a make-up artist?
As a teenager I knew that I would deal with painting or fashion. Life took me in the direction of applied arts and now I enjoy my work every day.
How did you learn your craft?
After experiences as a make-up artist during the adolescent era, I headed to London and started assisting my experienced colleagues, and that knowledge and experience brought me to where I am right now.
What is the best beauty advice you've ever received from someone?
Less is more.
What advice do you have for a young generation of make-up artists?
Do not give up on your dreams, be unique, different, recognizable, grateful and always strive for more. This is a wonderful occupation and a job for those who truly love it, but also includes lots of physical work, investment in all fields, patience and demanding working conditions.
In the end, what is the funniest thing ever happened to you in this business?
I cannot think of a particular funny moment because it's often funny and fun.
