Face is divided in 14 zones and by mapping them you will get a detailed insight into the issues that you have. Lack of hydration, problems with digestion and numerous other factors such as stress, affect the way our skin behaves. This type of analysis will not only help you choose the appropriate skin care but will facilitate the selection of cosmetics and make-up as well.
The forehead is divided into two zones – 1 and 3 - and usually refers to digestive problems as well as lack of water intake. If this part of the face has acne, depending on skin type, diminish their appearance by applying concealer. Correct redness and hyperpigmentation with green corrector, then apply concealer in your skin shade and that will cover all irregularities and create a uniform basis for further makeup. More on the theory of color and the use of concealer color can be found in this post.
Zone No. 2 is located between the eyes and is the liver zone. If you are drinking excessively fatty products, excessive amounts of alcohol or are sensitive to lactose, you will notice redness in the area.
Zones 5 and 9 represent middle of the face, under the eye area and cheeks. They point to problems with the respiratory system. It may be manifested with redness, small pimples and clogged pores. Cover this part using liquid foundations with medium coverage, and if you suffer from enlarged pores, to achieve a perfectly smooth skin, opt for a primer.
Covering irregularities can be achieved with the new compact liquid foundation in a cushion. Some of them I mentioned in the post in which you explain as to cushion foundation and how to use them.
Restore color in this area with blushes that can be used depending on skin type. Choose the matt ones if you have enlarged pores, and glowy blushes if you have smooth skin. About textures blush and how to apply them more in this post. http://www.simonantonovic.com/en/blog/blush-textures-,385.html
Do not forget to apply foundation on your ears! They are often red and different shades than the rest of the face, which can be a sign that you're stressed and you have kidney problems. Ears represent zone 4 and 10.
Eye area covers 6 and 8. Great discoloration may be hereditary or may be an indicator of insufficient hydration and reduced kidney activity. Cover discoloration with corrector then further lighten with brighteners. In addition to these places, you can use the corrector and the numerous other places to refresh your face, and where exactly they cause more in my post about the super friends - corrector!
Zone 7 covers the nose area. Our noses can get really red and that is exactly why foundation is applied right from the very middle of the face and nose. In this way we achieve the greatest coverage, and with the use of compact powder over liquid foundation, we ensure their durability.
Zones 11 and 13 are around the mouth to the jaw. Some acne in this area can be an indication of hormonal imbalance. For this same goes as for the area of the forehead - use concealer to cover irregularities then apply foundation. This is an area where you can apply contours, so I recommend that you choose a cream product that will blend with the skin seamlessly.
Zone 12 represents mouth and chin. Hormonal imbalance and stress are best reflected in this part and it does not help the fact that the chin is part of the T-zone, which usually gets greasy. Mattify this area to prevent shine. Put the smallest amount of highlighter at the top of the chin and just above the lips. Of course, keep in mind that lipsticks, lip glosses or lip liners can cause problems, acne and inflammation.
The last zone is the neck, which is a serious indicator of your age. That is a very significant part of the body to which we need to devote a lot of attention. Stress greatly affects the neck discoloration but be aware that same goes for perfumes. Some people are very susceptible to acne caused by perfumes. When matching foudation, make sure that the shade of liquid foundation suits your skin. Same goes for concealer. Nurture the neck area with anti-aging creams from your twenties and make sure to apply some level of SPF protection!
