Individual false lashes require more time, but the result is far more natural. The advantage of individual false eyelashes is in their strategic application. You can fill the gaps where you might lack natural lashes, or you can easily emphasize the outer part of the eye.
Put on a thin coat of mascara, it will define eyelashes and comb them trough. It will also give them color and help further blending with false eyelashes. I have several favorite mascaras but now I am loving LE VOLUME RÉVOLUTION DE CHANEL mascara. Let mascara dry a little before next step.
You want to apply an adhesive on a palette that can be a small slate, a plexiglass or a ceramic plate. Make-up artists use their hands, but I suggest that you use something else in case you need to go out immediately and you do not have time to clean your hands. Apply the glue, size of a pea, to the working surface, take the eyelash with tweezers then gently dip into the glue.
The next step is the toughest step, applying eyelashes without opening the eyes. The easiest way to do this is positioning your elbow on something. This will steady the hand. You will have more room for maneuvering and adjusting the eyelashes. Place yourself in front of the mirror, stabilize your hand and just apply eyelashes. Look straight into the mirror and start in where the iris starts and continue to the outer part of the eye. The goal is to follow the natural line of eyelashes and glue the lashes on the skin, not on the natural eyelashes. For a more dramatic look, add one or two lengths of individual eyelashes on the outside of the eyes to create the illusion of elongated eyelashes.
Do not be afraid of repairs. If you notice that your eyelash does not sit well, you can easily adjust and repair it until the glue is dry. The second layer of maskers goes on now.
It is somewhat easier to apply strip eyelashes. You want to start by taking them out of the pack, placing it to the right place and measuring the excess in the inner corner. Cut off everything that doesn’t fit. Cut that excess with scissors. The rest of the eyelashes, the outer part, will be used further. The application technique is the same as for individual eyelashes. Use tweezers, apply glue on the strip, wait for the adhesive to dry. Position them and remember that you have little time to adjust them to the lid. Once you are happy with the position, keep them in place, let it dry and that is it. Apply a layer of mascara to blend false lashes with natural lashes.
Bravo, you just applied falsies! 😊
