It's 1 a.m. - that time when our skin is working overtime just to regenerate, but what are we doing at that time? We sleep. And in fact, nighttime is the best time for our skin to sleep in order to achieve natural skin regeneration. But there are some steps that can help perfect our skin that works almost perfectly. Our skin's youthful appearance is the end result of that natural work of skin itself.
First of all, don't forget to wash your face before bed. Get rid of the accumulated dirt, free radicals and fat. Gently wash the skin. Bad diet, smoking, pollution in the air and stress all affect the skin by free radicals that are responsible for the killing of healthy protein in our skin. With lack of healthy proteins (collagen) we lose the elasticity and firmness of the skin and earlier show the first signs of aging. Use oil for make-up removal and facial cleansing. I love Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Oil which is sufficiently gentle to the skin and equally effective.
Then rinse with water or reach for micellar solution to completely clean the face. My favorite micellar water is Bioderma which has a permanent place in my make-up corner and make-up bag.
I like to use Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum for renewal and skin care that deeply hydrates the skin. There are visible restoring effect which is particularly evident in the morning appearance of the skin. The skin is shiny and soft to the touch.
After serum, I like to use rich cream for night care. For this occasion use Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream that uses minerals to stabilize the collagen and elastin in the skin but also nourishes the skin with apricot oil, which is rich in vitamin E and acids for perfectly smooth and soft skin.
