Choose one glittery thing - one shade, one product, one shiny element to apply to one part of the body. The sophistication of glitter look comes from a wise and measured glow application, you don't want all of this to look like child's play in the end.
Balance is another key element in the game of reflection. Bold, glossy lips or eyes seek subtlety in other areas of the face. With an emphasis on lips or eyes, however, reduce the highlighter on the tips of the cheekbones. Apply a little highlighter to the highest spots of the face, but keep in mind that the highlighter has no large glitter particles, but rather that it is a glow that appears to come from within.
You may be in for a glow experiment, but you are not in for experimenting with color and that's fine. You can also wear glossy particles in neutral hues and tones that match your affinities. A white, beige, taupe, bronze or brown shade will give you something to feel comfortable in your own skin.
Glitter is a very disobedient product and needs to be tamed. The application process can be very messy, the glitter ends everywhere, and to prevent them from spreading, apply the glitter first if it is the eyes. If it is a face, apply the substrate then continue to apply the sequins.
This delicate look has to be long lasting, and it is easiest to achieve with the use of glitter media or cosmetic glue. The sequins need something sticky, a base that they can grasp. Do not apply glitter to the inner edge of the eye, it may cause irritation and damage. If it is just a shimmery shade, I recommend that you fill the inner edge of the eye with an eye pencil and the bottom of the eyelid, use the shade right next to the eyelash edge.
This season, sequins are worn that accompany the lower eyebrow line. Prepare the eyelid, apply a neutral shade of matt eyeshadow to the eyelids, comb the eyebrows, fill in with an eyebrow pencil, then fix just along the bottom edge to start applying the sequins. Begin at the inner edge of the eye, pulling the line outward.
Another way of wearing glitter is the eyebrows themselves. Mix glitter with eyebrow fixing gel until you get the desired amount of glow and happiness.
Shift all that glitter from your eyes to your cheeks and blend them with intense blush. Glow will flow from the eyelids to the highest spots of the cheeks, and a creamy blush will help blend the product with the skin.
