I always dreamed of doing makeup for Vogue Australia but I never imagined it would actually happen. We shot the insert cover and editorial for the September issue in the stunning Lone Hotel in Rovinj. I had the pleasure of working with a brilliant creative team which included stylist Mark Vassallo, photographer Bruna Kazinoti, model Anastasia Kolganova and hair stylist Mijo Majhen.

The look I created for the shoot was reminiscent of the 1960s, with heavily lined eyes. To frame the eyes I used a black pencil and then applied black mascara multiple times. Anastasia had beautiful freckles which I intentionally left visible; the base was minimal so that her skin retained its natural glow. For lips, I added but a drop of lip balm.
